As long as the users have InfoPath Filler 2010, the second of the two InfoPath programs in Microsoft Office 2010, installed on their local machine, it will open the .xsn file ready for them to start filling in the form. The first time they open an InfoPath form, they may see a dialog asking if they want to set Microsoft Office as the default program for opening and editing .xml files. Unless they are using another program to edit .xml files, they should click the OK button in this dialog. You could even start directly from InfoPath Filler 2010 by going to the Open page in the File menu (Backstage area), as shown in Figure 10-2. This page shows previously opened forms. However, it also has a button, Find a Form, that you can use to display the Open dialog. From this dialog, you can navigate to the directory or file share that has the file you want, select it, and open it.

However, what if you did not store the form on a network drive while designing it One way to get it to a network drive would be to copy the file from your local drive to the network drive the next time you connect to the network. At that point, other users could access the form as I just described as long as they had InfoPath Filler 2010 installed on their local computer. There is one more way you can publish your form to the network drive. You could open the form using InfoPath Designer 2010. Then from the backstage area, select the Publish page. On this page, find the area titled Publish a form to a network location or file share, shown in Figure 10-3, and click the button Network Location.

As with picture libraries, a check box precedes each slide, allowing you to select on which slides you want to perform specific actions. When you open the Actions menu, as shown in Figure 12-64, you will not find as many options as for the picture library.
