Figure 13-16. Save a copy of your project called ComProject. Close the DefaultOutOfBrowserProject and open ComProject in both Blend and Visual Studio 2010. Now you have your default OOB application, which you can use for any OOB applications you build in the future. With the copy of a new project called ComProject, we can go ahead and make a new project that shows how cool the COM API is. In this new project we are going to make an application that has a TextBox in it and a Button that reads LaunchWord. When the user types text in the TextBox and hits the LaunchWord Button, we are going to programmatically open Microsoft Word and create a new document that has the text that the user typed in our application. Pretty cool, huh Let s do that now. With the project still open, go to Blend s Objects and Timeline panel and click the eyeball icon next to the InstallContainer, as I am doing in Figure 13-17, to make the InstallContainer invisible. This will only make it invisible in design time, since we programmatically handle its visibility when the application is loaded.

It is the mouth symbol. Twirl down the Looping parameter in the Properties panel, and you will immediately see why this example falls smack into the category of Work smart. Not hard. The Looping Option is set to Single Frame, and each key frame or swap is accomplished by shooting the playhead to a specific frame in the mouth symbol and letting it play from there.
